Prompt engineering

Prompt engineering is the practice of framing instructions to a language model so results are reliable and repeatable. It means supplying enough context, defining the output format and bounding the criteria, so the same request produces consistent quality rather than depending on luck.

In a professional workflow what matters is not the clever prompt but the reusable one. A good request specifies the role, the source material, the constraints, the format and what to do when something is ambiguous. That is the difference between a tool you can trust and one you must re-check in full every time.
